Abstract
The demand for energy has recently increased rapidly as a result of the world’s population increase and industrial growth. On the contrary, fossil fuel supply is declining due to depletion of the resources. Moreover, utilization of fossil fuel energy resources has resulted in adverse effects on the global environment. In this regard, there is an urgent need to implement the use of sustainable and environmentally clean energy sources. In this context, renewable energy sources, including geothermal sources, can play a critical role in meeting the energy demands of societies.
