dc.description.abstractLet Σg,n denote the compact orientable surface with genus g ≥ 2 and boundary disjoint union of n circles. By using a particular pants decomposition of Σg,n, we obtain a formula that computes the Reidemeister-Franz torsion of Σg,n in terms of the Reidemeister-Franz torsions of pairs of pants. © Balkan Society of Geometers, Geometry Balkan Press 2022.en_US
