Abstract: A Facebook group page set up in 2008 exclaims: ‘Nuneaton’s Judkins Site should have Civilia Built - Not hazardous waste!’ The group making this appeal was campaigning against a controversial reclamation plant for contaminated soil to be located in a former quarry and demanded instead the realisation of another project for the site which they described as ‘Civilia’: a revolutionary concept of a totally new environment. . . conceived by an award-winning architect writing under the pseudonym Ivor de Wolfe.
